  • This route guides you on the lands of Béatrice de Savoy. The rich past of les Echelles is offer to you from the commandery to the panoramic site of La Chapelle de la Madeleine.

  • The trail begins at the Rivièr'Alp Leisure Center. From the parking lot, head towards the ecological swimming area. Before reaching the swimming area, take the path on the left and follow the canal until you reach the bridge. Before the bridge, turn left towards the old Cotterg pond, where you can stop at the observation deck. Continue and climb the path to the road, which you cross. In front of the Dépeigne house, take the path leading to Menuet Hill.

Before the bridge, turn left towards the old Cotterg pond, where you can stop at the observation deck. Continue and climb the path to the road, which you cross. In front of the Dépeigne house, take the path leading to Menuet Hill.
    Quickly cross a meadow to reach the Croix des Carriers. The route then joins the GR9 trail, which enters the Menuet forest. The path climbs rapidly to the Col de la Voute and then to the Madeleine Chapel. From this site, you can enjoy views of the valley and the Chartreuse peaks. Continue on the GR and then leave it on your left. The yellow-marked path quickly leads you to the base of the hill and into the valley, then along the stream. You will then reach the first houses of the village of Les Echelles and the starting point.
