Dominating the valley of Grésivaudan, the former castle of Bouquéron is built on a rocky escarpment at the entrance of Corenc, under the cliffs of Saint-Eynard, in a protected site.
Mentioned in texts dating from the early 12th century, this building has retained the look and volume of medieval Dauphin castles, despite the various subsequent transformations. You can still admire the engraved coats of arms of its various owners over the centuries. In the 19th century, its owner, Dr. Armand Rey, also mayor of Corenc, converted it into a spa, offering "turpentine steam baths and fresh fir bud water" to treat rheumatism, bronchitis and laryngitis...
