Admire the large-sloped roofs, the chapel and its secrets, the grand staircases and the unique décor, with furniture and interior decor reflecting 700 years of local history. The decor and woodwork are the work of Grenoble cabinetmakers Hache, as is the parquet flooring in the grand salon, a perfect 100 m² square.
Permanent exhibition: Museum of 18th and 19th century woodworking tools: the largest private collection of tools from this period.
From Grenoble, freeway A48 towards Lyon, exit Voiron N°10, then D1075 via Chirens, then D82 to Saint Geoire en Valdaine.
From Lyon, take the A43 and exit at Chimilin-Les Abrets N°10, then follow signs for Les Abrets and Saint Geoire en Valdaine.
Access by bus with line no. 7110 of the TransIsère network (Voiron - Pont de Beauvoisin), stop at "Le Roulet". Plan a 1.2km walk or bike ride to reach the château.
